This website was a bit (okay, a lot) neglected. In fact, it was like a scruffy dog with its ribs showing. Sad, right? People started to notice and give me that look. Or, maybe I was imagining that last part.
But when your goal is a complete overhaul, it doesn’t make sense to spend your time fixing little things, does it? Like my main character having the wrong name in one place and some links no longer working.
You can pay for things or do them yourself, and I’m a big fan of paying experts. But I also enjoy doing things myself, and right now I have more time than money.
I already had a wordpress.org site (rather than a free one). After a lot of research, I spent the money on the Divi theme, which has made building the website easier than it would have otherwise been. After a bit of frustration, I started enjoying myself–picking out fonts and background images and colors. If you’re reading this, then it means I’ve published the re-designed site. Yay me!
