In case you haven’t read my books and don’t know who Max is, she’s the main character in the Bridal Shop Mysteries. She is smart, compassionate, and intuitive, characteristics I strive for myself.
Plus she can sew! She and I have this in common.
I’ve wondered what Max would be doing during this pandemic, while Wedding Belles Bridal Shop was closed for business. For one thing, she’d finally have a chance to catch up with her custom gowns. And then what?
I’m quite sure that she, like myself and many other individuals and companies, would be working on coming up with the best mask design and sewing them for friends and family. Max would no doubt go a step further, setting up a production line to provide masks for healthcare workers and first responders.
Now that business are beginning to reopen, perhaps masks might be the new bridal favor for summer weddings! Having beautiful masks themed for your guests in your colors might make it less of a downer, don’t you think?
Here are some of the masks designs I’ve created. The scarf masks are quite nice, and I plan to make more, but right now I’m really, really tired of sewing!
